I have such admiration for the courageous, principled and compassionate voice of Dr Campbell - a modern day Dr John Snow, I'd say.
Some of the pumps should be thoroughly beaten with the handles following their removal. Such punishment could be named after well known miscreants. Offenders could be, say, 'Whittied', 'Vallanced', 'Halletted' etc., although there are people out there who might enjoy being 'Hancocked' and would pay good money for it.
I'm sorry for being flippant - but I'm very tired & so sick of all these people. We should be rid of them.
